Ready to Read - Phonics Plus Resources

The Ministry of Education website has lots of resources for teachers and whānau related to the Ready to Read - Phonics Plus books. Click here to search for titles, view a pdf version of each book and listen to an audio file of each story.


Māori language resources

Māori Dictionary and Māori Language.net are two excellent Te reo Māori language resources.


Pasifika Dual Language Books

The Pasifika dual language resources are designed to support the early language and literacy learning of Pasifika new entrant students in English-medium classrooms. Teacher and parent support material accompanies these resources. Many of the dual language books are available as PDFs and all the books are available as MP3 audio files.

Pronunciation Guide

Author Sharon Holt’s Te Reo Singalong books are a popular resource in early childhood centres and school. This website has a video reading of each pukapuka|book, the waiaita|song and an activity for each story in her collection.
