Professor McNeill is the Dean of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Canterbury. Professor McNeill is the Co-Director of the National Implementation of BSLA PLD Years 0-8.
Professor McNeill is an international expert in children’s oral language, reading and spelling development, particularly in children with speech and language difficulties. She has extensive leadership experience including co- lead for the Better Start Literacy Approach and Associate Dean in the Faculty of Education. She has in-depth knowledge of structured literacy approaches and extensive experience in blended learning models of teaching.
