Nicole Plummer is a Senior BSLA Facilitator with several years’ experience in supporting teachers and literacy specialists to implement BSLA in Years 0- 3. She is an experienced speech-language therapist who has expertise in delivering PLD, collaboration and coaching. One focus of her work has been supporting students with complex communication and learning challenges including Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Before joining BSLA Nicole led a spiral of inquiry with a group of schools on early language and literacy, supporting a case study teaching structured literacy using BSLA.
She assists Professor Clendon in the development of structured literacy teaching practices for children with complex learning needs.
Nicole supports BSLA literacy specialists, schools and Communities of Practice across Auckland’s North Shore, Rodney and Hibiscus Coast and much of the Waikato region.
