HOW TO APPLY
What is the Targeted & Tailored PLD?

A PLD stream for educators supporting Tier 2 and Tier 3 learners needing intensive literacy intervention.

 

Who should enrol?

Teachers, literacy specialists, RTLBs, learning support staff and intervention teachers.

 

How is it delivered?

A blended model across four terms: 5 days of workshops (online, in-person and hybrid options), 8 x online Communities of Practice, coaching and mentoring, and online self-directed learning modules. See our workshop options for details.

 

What are the requirements?

Attend all workshops and Communities of Practice, complete modules, complete online case study-style assessment.

 

What qualification is awarded?

Certificate of Proficiency in Effective Interventions in BSLA Structured Literacy (30 postgraduate points).

 

Is funding available?

Schools may apply for MoE PLD funding depending on eligibility.

Schools can also choose to self-fund teachers to complete this course.
